Puslitbang Polri melakukan penelitian dan kajian terhadap layanan SIM, STNK, dan BPKB (SSB) di Polda Jawa Timur beserta jajarannya pada 5 s.d 8 November 2018.

Adapun jajaran yang dikunjungi yakni Dit Lantas Polda Jatim, Polres Kediri Kabupaten, Polres Kediri Kota, Polres Mojokerto, Polres Sidoarjo, dan Polres Gresik.

Puslitbang Polri mengkaji isu tersebut dalam perspektif saber pungli yang dipimpin oleh Ketua Tim Kombes (Pol) Drs. Burdin Hambali.
